Amazon.com: Phantoms: Dean Koontz: BooksThis is my all time favorite book. I love fantasy books. This book was creepy, but I couldn't put it down. It is a great read for anyone that enjoys fantasy, with a little bit of a scare.

Although it is for younger readers, I am enjoying reading it. The story has dreams escaping from reality, talking toothpicks, and a lot of strange characters. But it has a lot of dangers that the characters have to endure to save Foo and reality, and keeps you reading to see what happens next.

Many critics[1] consider the book to be one of the greatest novels of the 20th century, as well as one of the foremost Soviet satires, directed against a suffocatingly bureaucratic social order.
