This book was an ok read. I would give it a 6 out of 10. Summary: Tommo knows that he will not live long as a spellgrinder's apprentice. The spellstone dust causes quivers and death. He must escape. Running for his life and near death, he is saved by Akenna. Together, and with their powers, they must overcome the evil rule of the Protector.
